Didn’t We make the blazing lamp?
If the Lord of the universe has made the sun—the main source of energy—the blazing lamp, He presents the moon as the lamp that reflects sunlight. If the Lord is mentioned as the Light of the universe in verse 24: 35, Adhikr is mentioned as the Lord’s Light in verses such as 7: 157; 9: 32; and 64: 8. Since Messengers reflect the Light—Adhikr—they are compared to the moon. It is told in verse 14: 1 that Adhikr is revealed to deliver mankind from the darkness to the way of Light. So whoever conveys Adhikr to mankind—such are the believers who testify the Messengers. The Fujjar (Kuffar) are serving Satan, as mentioned in verses 36: 59-62, and are trying to extinguish the Light—Adhikr—as told in verse 61: 7. See explanation 25: 61 and 71: 16.
